They had the audience in splits with their
inimitable humour at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards last year in Bangkok and they are set to do it yet again. This year too,
Bollywood actors Boman Irani and Riteish Deshmukh will play hosts to the glitzy cine event that will be held in Macau.
Apart from their witty
jokes and spoofs on popular movies, Boman had even donned a Scottish skirt during the show much to the amusement of the viewers.
The two came
to the organiser's rescue after Urmila Matondkar floundered as the hostess and kept repeating her lines and announced the wrong performances. This
year too, the duo are expected to create a laugh riot on the stage.
The IIFA will complete a decade of its existence this year and the
star-studded event will be held at the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel at Macau starting June 11-13.
The three-day-long weekend will see a host of
Indian celebrities as well as international film personalities including brand ambassador megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his family, actors Hrithik
Roshan, Shahid Kapur, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Lara Dutta.
American actor John Terry might also grace the event,
it added.
Among the star performers this year are Sonam Kapoor, making her debut on stage, and Kareena Kapoor, who is expected to put up an
electrifying performance a la IIFA 2008.
For the 10th year celebrations, Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the organisers of the
event, are promising a whole set of surprises over the weekend to be sponsored by Videocon.
