Looking very stern and grave on the sets, a far cry from his jocular image, he’s reportedly in a very sulky mood when shooting. However, sources on the sets insist that it has nothing to do with any issues the actor’s having on the sets, with either the role or the director. Nor has it anything to do with his recent film not hitting jackpot at the box-office. Instead the actor is just trying to get under his character’s skin.

Says the source, “Riteish is getting a complete makeover for this film. He is known more for his comic flair, but in Rann he will be portraying a very serious character, something completely different from his funny film roles.” And the source clarified that Riteish is sulking strictly because he’s been given instructions from the director that he should not smile and joke while filming for Rann. “Riteish took the directives so seriously that he doesn’t smile at all, even when the camera wasn’t rolling,” the source added. Well, now that’s what we call getting a ‘serious makeover’!
