F.A.L.T.U ka fun!

The team of "F.A.L.T.U." had no faltu time when they came to town on a recent rainy afternoon, as all of them were busy obliging the cameras and giving non-stop interviews.

It made for an interesting sight to watch all of them speak, separately, at the press conference. One could hear Riteish Deshmukh, standing in the middle of 15 cameras and mikes, saying, "No, I'm not dating ... I don't know where all these rumours come...," and Jackky Bhagnani, on the other corner, answering questions with a smile, "So what if Bryan Adam's concert couldn't happen today, we will be back soon for it." While papa Vashu Bhagnani was keeping to a corner, he was also put before a mike for a sawaal-jawaab session, beginning with 'Film ka title aisa kyun hai?' Remo D'Souza, who seemed to be kinda shy, was discussing how he got the idea of turning a director from a choreographer.

Housefull 2 going to be grander, funnier.

How can we forget the comical Housefull? Directed by Sajid Khan and starring Akshay Kumar as the lead protagonist role while Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Arjun Rampal featuring in supporting roles. Boman Irani and Randhir Kapoor also play important supporting roles in the film. Jacqueline Fernandez has a special appearance in the film. The film was shot over several months in London and Italy. The film is said to be a remake of 1998 Tamil film Kaathala Kaathala. The film was released on 30 April 2010 across more than 750 screens in India. It saw quite a good reponse from the audiences who just wanted to sit back relax and watch a Romcom kind of movie. Now Sajid Khan has made a promise to his team as well as the audience to come up with a sequel of this movie. Standing up to his promise Sajid is almost set to get the movie on the floors soon enough. He is confident that the film would prove to be 10 times funnier than the first in the series."The entire team is quite gung-ho about the sequel to Housefull. The script has come up pretty fabulously. God willing, Housefull 2 will be biggest 'paisa vasool' entertainer for the audience", says Sajid confidently.

However, as per the latest developments, Vashu Bhangani would have to wait for a while since it is Nadiadwala's HOUSEFULL 2 which would be going on floors soon. 'What happened', one asks Sajid Khan.

RGV announces his next, ‘Department’!

Ram Gopal Verma announced his next venture, ‘Department’ starring Big B after his Vivek Oberoi starrer ‘ Rakta Charita’ garnered rave reviews. Now that Ramu is charged up with a renewed vigour, he is all set to make a hard hitting stylish action flick. Apart from Big B, the film will also star Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Riteish Deshmukh. The multi-starrer film is all set to go on floors early next year.

On being asked by reporters as to what made the producer-director zero-in on a film like ‘Department’, RGV said, “‘Department’ is the other side of my own `Company` (Ajay Devgn, Vivek Oberoi). While `Company` was about the politics within underworld, `Department` is about politics within the police organisation itself. In underworld, there is this single person, a Don, who is the boss. In police, it is not an individual who is the boss. It is the department itself which is.”

“This is the reason why I am coining `Department` as a counterpoint of Don”, he added.

Riteish Deshmukh plays a Sardar in Aftab's Aao Wish Karein!

022.jpgThere was a time when directors making cameos in their own films were considered to be a fad. Now the latest trend seems to be getting an actor to do a cameo in a film that has been hyped to the hilt, without even a mention about the star's presence.

The last well-kept secret cameo that Bollywood witnessed was that of Deepika Padukone in the film ‘Main Aurr Mrs Khanna’, a film which only showcased the on-screen presence of Salman, Kareena and Sohail Khan. This time round, it is the Aftab-Aamna starrer fantasy flick ‘Aao Wish Karein’, directed by Glenn Baretto. We found out that Aftab's chaddi-buddy Riteish Deshmukh will be seen playing a Sardar in the film. Our sources also went to the extent of furnishing us with the snap of Riteish's look in the film.
